Hello, this is such a late post, but I love these ones so much I wanted to share. Since Facebook page I seem to forget about blogging.. Thank you for the little notch I will try to get better.
Now all about the dogs! I loved this session, I loved the dogs, the location and their human Cathy. Iona Beach in one of my beloved spots to shoot big dogs, so many possibilities there..
Most of the time it takes quite a few shots to get one good one, sometimes it is hard to decide on which one to cut.
Cathy (Lucy’s and Stella’s mom) said in her questionnaire that the dogs have not met the puddle they did not like, well we did not have to wait too long to find out..
One of my fav things to do when i work with two dogs is to give them something to share, when I saw the long stick on the ground I knew what I wanted with it and the dogs complied…now try to chose one image to show you client..
The next image is my favorite from the whole session…
A little bit about the dogs now, below is Lucy. She is now 3 years old and she was found as a puppy in a box on the side of the road along with her 6 siblings, some kind soul picked up the box and brought the dogs into SPCA. It is hard to guess her background, she could be a border collie, staffie , whippet and lab…it odes not really matter. She is a great dog! Lucy is very friendly and gentle, she has tons of energy and recently underwent a surgery that kept her from running for a couple of months. She is recovering nicely and our session was one of the first days where she got to run freely for a while.
Stella is a tri color Border Collie, she is 18 months old and full of energy. She loves playing ball and running with her sister, she also likes digging a lot.
She came from a farm in Northern Alberta.
With this seeing I got a rare treat, my client snapped a photo of me while working, here it is! Thank you Cathy!
I love your photo’s so much! I asked my husband if Vancouver was too far for us to come for dog photo’s, he said he’d love to go to Vancouver, but it would be a very long trip!LOL
Please do keep blogging I love to follow and see your great shots!
I am Stella and Lucy’s “Auntie”, I suppose you could say. Nice to see their spirit captured so beautifully! Very nice shots.
