Freya, Lita and Phoenix

Sunny evening in Burnaby Fraser Shore Park seemed like a good time to photograph the team of three dogs – Weimaraner, Doberman and and Weimaraner Pointer cross. Meet Phoenix, Freya and Lita.

I met the gang there, which is one of my favorite places to hang out with Mischa, not an ideal spot for photography, but we made it work.

I might not be PC of me, but the boy goes first. Honestly he would not have it any other way. He is just about the prettiest male weimaraner I have met. He is also big and loves the camera, he tried to have a full my attention. He is a force in himself. His name is Phoenix, but I think the hurricane might be more fitting lol. Although I wish he was like Phoenix and lasted forever.Take your pick…

Next is Lita, very shy girl with a human smile, she does everything is her power to avoid the camera, but I managed to get a few shots of her…

And last, but not least Freya, the oldest one in the bunch and just about the sweetest. She just wanted to cuddle so much, what a precious “little” girl!

It is hard to think looking at this picture that Freya is a senior dog and not in the best health. I wish her many more happy years!

The hardest part in photographing a group of dogs is always getting them all together in one frame.. there will be always one that is not happy about it..

It is always fun working with the dogs, three energetic ones might be more of the challenge, but I live for it.
