When I was looking to adopt a little one, I never thought of bringing home a chihuahua until I spoke with a friend of mine. I’m so glad I listened. Our blundle of enjoyment is a chocolate deer head named Louie. He is the best companion I’ve ever had.

These are beautiful pictures. We have a tiny red applehead named Chico. He is about 6 months old. We are about to adopt a black and tan deer head and your pictures helped give us an idea of what she may look like.

Your deerhead is beautiful. We have a deerhead, she is brindle with gorgous eyes, she just had her first litter and gave us six babies, all made it they were so cute. Might have to breed her again next year, she was a great mom.

It’s really a shame that the breeders of “Apple Head” Chihuahuas are so negative about the “Deer Head” variety. At this time, the Chihuahua breed standard only officially recognizes the “Apple Head” variety of this delightful breed.

Hi there! I have a little Deer Head Girl…her name is Precious Gigi she’s so sweet. We’ve always had big giant dogs(we have 2 now), but I couldnt say no to rescuing this little one. She’s stolen our hearts!!

I have a black Deer head and her name is Chiquita. She is very compassionate, loves the kids and loves to run through the house. She was very easy to potty train, I got her when she was about 6 months and she was potty trained within a month. Great dog and looking to mate her soon.

I lost my dear head last week. He was killed by somethinf in our woods. I heard it. I am so hearbroken and depressed. He looked just like charlie except he was fawn and white. he had the most amazing personality. currious cofident friendly to everyone he met. I want another one so bad. Do you know the breaders of charlie? Could you tell me how to find a breader. I am looking everywhere. Cooper was my dogs name. Please help me fill this hole in my heart. he was 7 pounds he was a rescue.

I just had tiny little fawn colored girl show up at my door this morning. We lost our pets in a fire that destroyed our home on Jan. 12, 2012. The fire started during afternoon while we were both at work. My husband discovered it after work, we live in the country and have no nearby neighbors, closest one is 1/3 of a mile at the end of our drive. Of those lost 2 were dogs, Roxie a 14 yr old Pom and Jenny a 2 yr old rat or Jack Russell terrier, both rescues. Since that day I have had mixed feeling about another “baby”,the whole in my heart is big one though. After the fire, I told people ” God and Roxie and Jenny will send us a baby when it’s the time” I guess they decided today was the day. This baby is so malnourished!!! I dont know her story as we are way out and 1/3 mile off the county road, how did she find us (we have a travel trlr to live in while building)who lost her or threw her away? I do know that she found us at the time we needed her too the most!! She will never know a mean person again, never be cold or hungry either. We love her dearly and we have known her for a bit over 2 hrs now. I sent a pic to my daughter and she told me she was a deer chihuahua, thus here we are. I’ll send pics back when she looks as pretty as I know she should. Off the our favorite vet tomorrow morning!!

She is a beautiful dog. In the second pic. the way she is laying, she definately does look like a deer. I have one only she is a beautiful blonde names Sweetie Pie.

Following the death of my beautiful half-pint Siamese cat Lily, my heart leaped out and rescued a very sweet and special deer head Chihuahua on 12/28/12. Sheme (she/me)came to me in somewhat poor health having been kenneled all of her 5 years. From reading these posts I can see that these amazing doggies arrive to fill the hearts of those in need. My focus on her health and well-being has taken away the pain and loss of my cat (and my mother who also passed away in December). Sheme reaches out her hand (paw) to me and has already placed it over my heart so many times I believe it to be intentional. Well, already I could go on and on about her sweet ways. Her love of Reiki massage has put my hands and heart to good use.

I had a tiny deer head chihuahua and I think a hawk got him if anyone knows where I can find another please let me know he was a year and half and only weighed one pound. I miss him so bad

Your Charlie looks a lot like my deer head sweetheart girl, Lily. She was rescued, not by me, as a puppy. I must say that this little pup helped rescue me. I love her so much and could not imagine my life without her. She has a wonderful personality…she is smart, spunky and adorable…and she hardly ever barks and when she does it is barely a bark. ??????????

We have a six month old Chihuahua named “p2”. Just discovered today the he is a Deerhead Chihuahua. Love him ti bits! Great dog, easily trained and everybody and every dog we meet love him. Thank for sharing your photo of Charlie.

We have a very handsome chocolate deer head chihuahua named Tiger. He is so much fun and has changed the whole atmosphere in our home.
