Dizzy and Lexi, Shepherd mix and an Austarlian Kelpie

Oh, how do I love the Iona Beach in Richmond. It is so quite there during the week, so nice! I had a pleasure to meet up with two rescued dogs and their owner for a photo session.

Please meet Lexi and Dizzy, one of them is an Australian Kelpie and the other some mix, nobody is really sure… They both females and as many rescue dogs they do not like men, go figure.

Both dogs are cared for by an incredibly nice lady, Josephine who said that they are both like Rainbows in her life and bring her all the happiness. Bless her heart!

First off is Dizzy, she is so beautiful when she moves. I love her eyes, so focused, looking for something to chase…

Dizzy’s mom says she loves this floppy ear, I do too!

Lexi is 6 years old Australian Kelpie, she took some time before allowing me to get closer. In order to get people away from her Lexi uses quite powerful bark, but it did not scare me off. The smart dog that she is, she realized that she is just wasting precious energy and she gave up “scaring” and even gave me a kiss on the nose!

I ma so very lucky to do what I love the most! I get to photograph magnificent dogs on local Vancouver Beaches and make their owners happy too!

I have to admit that it is very seldom that I update my blog, I am not sure why I lost the love for blogging, but I am working on trying to get it back.

Thank you for all the emails and comments and I promise Mischa update soon!

Millie – Poodle Pekingese

I met Millie during our Polly photo shoot. I have to admit she was much easier to work with.

She is 7 years old Poodle Pekingese mix with a very friendly character.

She likes to run everyday

She chases the ball, but does not like to bring it back.  Her owner was chasing Millie and the ball, good exercise for both!

I love the colors of this house…

Polly Lhasa Apso

Meet Polly, she is 10 year old Lhasa Apso. She must be the smallest one I have ever seen, no offense to the owners or the dog I think she might have some Chihuahua in her, but I am not the expert; and the breeder says she is a pure Lhasa. It really does not matter, at least not to me. They are what they are regardless of what  we classify them as.

Polly is in her senior years and know what she likes and what she does not. Her photo session was booked by the friends of the owner, so they can gift her with the picture of Polly, what a sweet ladies!

We have spent a lot of time trying to get Polly do to what she normally does…buried under the blankets playing like crazy..Well with a stranger like me and the lights and all the extra attention plus treats it did not quite work.

This was the most action we got out of Polly in the house..

We headed into a Park hoping that Polly will do her usual running around chasing her friend Millie (her photos in one of the next posts), but she did not feel like it either..

I hope that Polly’s owner is going to be thrilled with the images that her great friends have picked out for her and if you know Shirley shhhhh! I have not delivered the prints yet!
