Quick update

Hello,

Last week was quite a write off for me since my neck locked up and the pain kept me from shoot in or working on the computer. Not the best time to have a health problems, but the good thing was that the weather has not been good lately and I would have to re-schedule anyway. Now, one more thing before I get started since this is a gift giving season I have to keep lots of my sessions secret and publishing these after Xmas would not make much sense, so if you saw me in the park shooting and see nothing here.. I did not get lazy after a couple of months of the blog I just got too busy and got asked not to share.

Laya… the cat?! Yes!

Well so I decided to expand a bit, not only dogs get my attention… Laya is an amazing talking cat..seriously! she talks and talks and talks.

The purpose of this session was to illustrate a heart warming story of Laya’s adoption and the impact she had on her mom. Her new mom wrote a beautiful story and I just had add some pretty pictures..

I could not help myself but take a photo of her delicate paws..my cat has even more fur in between the toes. That is so cute, but only be be seen in the indoor cats…

With Laya it is hard to imagine that she is not human, she definitely does not know it herself. She likes to have an opinion and her demands have to be met at once.

Dogs come when you call them, cats just take a message and get back to you or not…

I was holding off with posting this, but the book arrived on Friday and looked great. The owner and writer was happy, yeah!

So it runs out that photographing cats can be fun too, and it is nice warm, cozy. I do not have to scrub the mud off my face after the session. My lens does not get licked! Quite frankly there was no enthusiasm coming from Laya.. I kind of like that dog approach.

DOG  “woof, woof what are you doing??! Is it fun? woof, woof do your have treats?” Some dogs feel overly excited and I think that almost help my confidence. I think cat is all different story, more like “meow, why is it so bright here? When are you going to be finished? What is that annoying clicking noise? I am done..you cannot follow me under the bed, can you?…”

Happy Thanksgiving to my US friends! I am very thankful myself to have you in my life.

The fantastic 3! The Rotties!

Hume Park New Westminster and Coquitlam border.

The day was great cloudy and no rain! We still managed to get some fall colors and leaves.. soon enough the trees will be bare and where we are no point counting on snow…

I have to say I really enjoyed that session, the dogs have a wonderful and trusting relationship with the owner and  are very  easy to work with. I am super tired right now, but I want to get this done to give Farrah and little sneak peek on what is going into her album.

Shelby is named after a fast car and this is really fitting. She is so energetic and has a lot of friends to play with. Shelby is a Rottweiler and a Border Collie cross, so no wonder she is like dynamite.. She has a gorgeous lion tail, her mom secret grooming receipt. Her fur is normally long but she gets is cut to look more like the older brother and younger sister.

[caption id="attachment_419" align="alignnone" width="900" caption="Just look at that tail...lion!"]Just look at that tail...lion![/caption]

Harley is a 9 year old tough guy, Rottweiler and Shepherd cross. He is not much into running, but has a wonderful smile and likes his bum rubbed.

Harley is also a strong male in the mix and he likes to show it..

And finally the youngest addition Sophie, the pure one, no mixes..

Sophie is a very young dog, and pretty shy with new people and the camera, I just noticed that I barely any photos where she looks directly into the lens, unless with her siblings beside her.

And now my favorites, all the dogs together…

In the next picture the sisters look like they are super imposed… and look at that steam coming from their mouths… the winter is upon us!

Something very interesting to look at, I am still impressed that the dogs just did not take off..

Shelby is trying to get out of the line…”so, if I get up am I in trouble?”

Taking those photos was so much easier than I have anticipated. The training makes all the difference and the truth is you only need to train the first one and then he will do the job with the others.

Thank you Farrah for working with me!

Another beautiful day over…

Well the Xmas is on the way..
