Coach and Brillo the Jack Russel couple

What an adventure photographing two frisky Jack Russel’s. I had lots of fun with Brillo and Coach in Surrey, BC. It is quite amazing how different they look, but the energy levels are the same… and nowhere near mine. Thank got I had my zoom lens, so I did not have to run too much, lol!

The shot below was almos impossible to achieve, I guess I got lucky in between the runs and jumps.

The biggest problem with the session was the editing, I ended up taking way too many photos and could not narrow it down. Finally the client had to choose from 70 photos, sorry.. I am sure if you are shooting two dogs and they are as active as these rascals you have to leave some margin for error, mine was just too great, but we live we learn. Now trying to post just a few photographs for the blog I am running into the same challenge.

Bella- the beautiful Chocolate Lab

Bella is a chocolate Lab and loves water. Nicole, Bella’s mom and me met on a beautiful, but cloudy (great for photos!) morning at Spanish Bank (most of Vancouver folks call it Spanish Banks). The beach is gorgeous and it has a huge area just for dogs. We had a blast!

And here some water action, I got wet in the process too! Oh, well that is why I am doing this..

It is quite easy to photograph a beautiful animal like Bella, there is no way for her to look bad in the picture, but I managed to get some shots that seem rather comical. In one she looks like a horse, judge for yourself..

Few more shots from the beach

After the beach we moved to the forest…Is is amazing how one dog can have so many different “looks” in a span of hour and half!

in this photo we were trying to get Bella to reach a treat placed on the tree stomp..

Thank you Bella and Nicole for the wonderful morning.. what a great start to the weekend..
