Who said you cannot have session on the beach in New Westminster? I know my spots believe me and this one is one of my favorites when I photograph dogs in New Westminster. I met Norman and his human companions early on the crisp and sunny Saturday morning. I have to say I had a hard time trying to picture the mix of a Poodle and Boston Terrier.. When I first saw Norman it was hard to understand how he could look the way he does coming from these parents, but I have to say the more I look at the photos now the more I can see this possibility. Norman is only 4 months old, so he can change a lot, but for now judge it for yourself. I have to say that no matter what his parents are he is cute as a button!

Considering how shy Norman can be I thought that the whole session may look like the first picture, Norman sheltered in between mommy’s legs. I took some time to get him to relax; and when I put my camera away Norman opened up a bit, eat some treats and decided that maybe I am not a scary..

We pulled out his toys and let him run around a bit..

and then there was some jumping…

and more.. Looking at this photo just cracks me up, he looks so human. He reminds me of a football player or maybe the volleyball one since the beach is more appropriate for that..

and the toy was caught and carried around….

I cannot wait to see how Norman will look like as an adult, I photographed lots of puppy dogs and sometimes I have a hard time to recognize them when they grow up. At least they do not get ugly and wrinkly like us…

Can you get the dog’s face and his behind in one photo? The answer below…

Just look at these hairy ears, so funny!

As you can see in the last few photos Norman was tired and decided to cooperate a bit, the cookies helped a lot too. They always do!
Thanks to Katie and Brian for helping out during the shoot!
